GCC Workplace Experience Is Business Infrastructure

Complex mandates need more than impressive interiors

JLL's 2025 workforce survey found that almost 40% of 8,700 office workers across 31 countries believed their office experience could improve.[9] The result is global, not India-specific, but it highlights a universal workplace gap.

Analysis

For GCCs handling product, engineering, analytics or global leadership work, the workplace must support focus, secure collaboration, learning and connection across time zones. Attendance alone cannot demonstrate that support.

Osmos Global analysis: experience should be measured through task enablement and friction. Can employees find the right space? Are global calls supported? Are transport and late-hour services dependable? Can new hires access knowledge and networks?

Leadership implications

For HR and workplace leaders, the measure of success is whether the environment enables the work that justifies the GCC. For FM, experience evidence should inform service design. For business leaders, recurring friction is a productivity and retention signal, not a cosmetic issue.

Decision lens

Recommended action. Establish a quarterly GCC workplace-effectiveness review combining employee experience, peak-demand, service and business-team evidence.
