JLL's 2025 FM survey found that 78% of 248 organisations prioritised strategic partnership and business understanding when selecting FM providers.[2]

Analysis

Partnership cannot be measured through intent alone. Contracts, data access, decision rights, improvement obligations and benefit validation determine whether collaborative behaviour is possible.

Osmos Global analysis: governance should distinguish service assurance from joint improvement. Both need owners, evidence and escalation.

Leadership implication: providers should be challenged to show how insight changed a client decision, reduced exposure or improved experience—not merely how many innovations were proposed.

Decision lens

Recommended action. Include decision-quality and verified-improvement measures in quarterly provider reviews.
